DRIFTWOOD, TEXAS – Bryant for Texas is pleased to announce the launch of our campaign for State Representative in District 45, covering Blanco and Hays Counties, supporting First Responder Elizabeth Bryant.

“This is a community where everyone is a neighbor, even if they’re a stranger,” Bryant said. “We may bicker, but when it comes down to it, we pull together in times of crisis to care for and protect each other. That is what my campaign will be all about, and I cannot wait to talk to as many of my neighbors as possible about how I can best serve them in the Texas Legislature.”

Bryant, a former science teacher and mother of two with a degree in marine biology, has lived in the district for nearly a decade and serves her neighbors as a first responder who trains search and rescue dogs. As a result of her work, Bryant was personally involved in the effort to recover our communities’ lost loved ones after the flooding disasters that struck the Hill Country in 2015.

“I believe that our current leadership has forgotten the true Texas values that our community is based on, and I plan on reclaiming those values,” Bryant said. “I commit to protecting our water resources, defending public education, strengthening healthcare, and fortifying our towns and economies by encouraging organic, sustainable growth rather than wildfire development.”
The Bryant for Texas kickoff event will be held at 1410 Hawthorne Loop, Driftwood, Texas 78619, starting 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2017. It is a free event open to the public, but donations are encouraged.
