Elizabeth Bryant for Texas HD45

To Bryant, the Hill Country’s wide open country and warm, authentic people embody everything that she loves about traditional, small-town values. In fact, that’s why she chose to raise her two children here.

“This is my community, and that’s what I’m fighting for. I love this land, our neighbors, the water, the rivers. I think it’s beautiful and rugged. You’ve got to be a scrapper to survive out here, and I’ve always liked that.”

Meet Elizabeth Bryant

Driftwood resident Elizabeth Bryant is a mother of two, search and rescue dog handler, science educator, and candidate for Texas State Representative in District 45. As a leader in the search and rescue community, Bryant was deployed after the most recent round of devastating flooding on the Blanco River on a mission to find and secure her neighbors.

“This is my community, and that’s what I’m fighting for. I love this land, our neighbors, the water, the rivers. I think it’s beautiful and rugged. You’ve got to be a scrapper to survive out here, and I’ve always liked that.”

Through her work as a search and rescue dog handler and public servant, Bryant has gained a unique perspective on the needs of real people in District 45. That perspective is what motivated her to serve her neighbors as a member of the state legislature.

For Bryant, answering the call to serve the Hill Country in the legislature is a mission, not just a job. “For too long, our voices have gone unheard in Austin, not because they cannot hear us, but because our representative has chosen to ignore us,” Bryant said. “It is time for us to come together as a district and put our feet down. This government will bend to the will of the people come hell or high water, and that is why I am running for State Representative.”
